Film Night At the Park A Big Success!

· Alamo Square Park,Events

Film Night at the park brought joy to the many neighbors who turned out for the screening of "Soul" at Alamo Square. Moviegoers were pleased with the movie selection and enjoyed the numerous improvements made by SF Parks Alliance.

Thanks to the suggestions that ASNA made to the teams at Sundown Cinema, the event now takes place in September instead of July which means a potentially chilly evening versus a freezing movie night. The Parks Alliance team also addressed the issues around sound quality by adding surround sound for viewers sitting farther back on the east lawn.

We will be working with the same teams to continue to enhance the event experience for everyone. Some of the suggestions we received included: increasing the number of bathrooms for attendees (addressed for next year), as well as bringing in more food trucks to support the surging demand at peak arrival hours.

We look forward to doing it again next year!
