SFPD Northern Captain Commits to More Neighborhood Patrols

SFPD Northern Capt. Paul Yep meets with ASNA to discuss neighborhood concerns.

· Safety

At the March General Meeting, we welcomed Northern Station Captain Paul Yep to discuss crime trends and his solutions to address crime around the neighborhood. Captain Yep listened to the concerns of ASNA members regarding home burglaries, reckless traffic speeds along the Divisadero corridor, as well as safety concerns of rolling stops at the intersection of Scott and Fulton street. Captain Yep shared his plan to repurpose existing police resources to provide more patrols around the park as well as implementing periodic foot patrols along Divisadero as well as around Alamo Square. We were encouraged by Capt. Yep's enthusiasm and willingness to think creatively to be more responsive to community requests and we look forward to having him back at future meetings.
