*Visitor Alert & Advisory*
Park Smart!
Don't fall victim to car break-ins at Alamo Square Park
Alamo Square Park is one of the most visited sights in the world.
This makes unsuspecting visitors to the park primary targets for thieves.
Thieves can detect mobile phones, laptops, and devices in your parked vehicle from the bluetooth signal these devices emit.
Reduce the risk of property theft and damage by leaving your valuables at home or keeping them with you while visiting Alamo Square.
DON'T LEAVE BELONGINGS IN TRUNK
Thieves are watching. Plan ahead; Place belongings in trunk prior to arrival.
Thieves know how to access the trunk compartment on any car or suv. It's preferable to not have no belongings with you. If you do have to store goods in your trunk, do it prior to arriving in the area.
CARRY VALUABLES WITH YOU
Thieves target luggage, backpacks, and equipment bags left in vehicles.
Thieves will steal bags in search of wallets, laptops, and electronic equipment. Carry your wallet, passport, and all critical belongings on you while you visit.
LOCK YOUR VEHICLE
It takes less than 30 seconds for thieves to break in and steal your valuables.
Be sure that all luggage, backpacks, and anything visible are stored out of sight in your vehicle trunk before your arrival at the park.
